The treatment is basically the same  with a few new wrinkles, a shot of  Lupron every 3 months, Lab work, a B-12 shot monthly, and Effexor  for the “Hot Flashes” and a lot of exercise.  I am really feeling almost back to normal physically and emotionally, Praise the Lord!!!!! the hot flashes really take a toll on your mind and body. It feels like your mind is constantly in a fog and your body is always tired. But now I am feeling much stronger working out especially in weight training and cardio routines. For now the cancer is controlled and dormant, if it does become active again. Different medication will be the course of action and I will face that day as a soldier for the Lord Jesus with Him leading  and guiding me every step of the way.

I start each day with some quiet time praying, seeking the Lord and reading the Bible. Presently I am reading  1st Samuel, Psalms and the Book of Isaiah. The Word of God has been so comforting and inspiring to me. Bible study is on Wednesday night and how appropriate we  are in the Book of Job. Also every Friday as part of the First Baptist prayer and visitation team I go to the local hospital and pray with those who are on the list. I am a much different person now since I was first diagnosed with cancer and better off for it. For the Lord has strengthened me and has given much more compassion for those that are in need and have trouble in life.

Another 3 month span of time has elapsed, it is time to get some blood drawn  and check my PSA level once  again. The anxiety level is high and waiting for the results adds to the stress of the moment. The roller coaster ride of stage 4 prostate cancer is in full effect. It seems lately that I have been getting  very tired in the evening and the hot flashes are becoming more intolerable which are both side effects of the medicine. It has been a full 3 years now since I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and sometimes I get emotionally low, but that’s when I thank the Lord Jesus for keeping me alive another day.  My days are filled with highs and lows, studying the Bible daily, working out in the gym and being with my family are the highs. The lows come from having too much time on my hands and thinking about when will be the next curve ball that prostate cancer will throw at me.

The amazing thing about this whole process is that the cancer is in remission and that the lupron  has arrested the spread of cancer to my bones and organs for now. I praise the Lord Jesus for extending and sparing my life. My oncologist has told me that most people die within 2 years of being diagnosed. Why was I spared? To be honest I don’t know. I do know that God is Sovereign and that He has mercy on whom He has mercy on. With that being said I think of Farah Fawcett who was diagnosed the same time as I and now has passed on. She was  such an inspiration to me and went through all the treatment with such grace for the amount pain that she experienced. Most of my problems seem minor to what others have endured, and really most of mine are side effects and not from the cancer.

So where am I in this battle against prostate cancer, well my PSA came back and it went up a little 0.38 from 0.21. I will have to go back in 6 weeks and get another PSA test. The oncologist is not that concerned as long as the PSA stays under 1, my survival is looking better and better as each day goes by. If I am still in remission by year 5, I can probably stop treatment and see if my PSA rises. All throughout I always expected the worst scenario because of the seriousness of the cancer, right now I have a fighting chance to make it and with Jesus help I  know  I  will.

This thursday July 30, 2009 the Collier County  FL School Board will be voting on whether to allow a pro homosexual course to be included in its sexual education curriculum. The word has gone out to all the Churches in the area to show up and voice opposition to this indoctrination  of  the children  K-12. I will be there to voice my opposition as well as hundreds of people from my Church. Sometimes Christians just throw up their hands in frustration and quit or just bury their head in the sand. Saying maybe it will go away, well I am here to say it won’t go away and we must draw a line in the sand and get active. As Christians are we supposed to stand idly by and let the ungodly people run roughshod over us and future generations ? The answer to that question is absolutely no, for years most Christians have been apathetic about actively pursing the cultural  issues and the cultural war.

Look at what’s happened to this country, we are all to blame for letting the progressives set the agenda when it comes to abortion, prayer in schools, gay rights. Christians have gone into their shell, playing church but not being the Church. It is time to stand up and let your voice be heard, before the fascist’s  take away your voice all together. And don’t think that those in charge of this government today are not thinking about doing that as well. If the Bible is made illegal like it was in the Soviet Union, and the way it is today in Communist China, church services will go underground and so will our freedom slip away if we let it. Whether we win or lose we must not wimp out, but stand up for what we believe in and not back down but fight for what is right

Over the past 30 years the homosexual agenda has been  been somewhat hidden in the closet, denied, or lied about and kept under a rock. Now the agenda of the Gay and Lesbian activists is totally clear  and very obvious which is to tear down and destroy the very fabric which holds society together and that is the institution of traditional marriage. How did gay rights find its way to the forefront of our nation’s policy makers and what are the consequences of religious intolerance as portrayed in the proposed “Hate Crimes” bill.

The so-called gay rights movement, found its way to this nation through the matrix of secular and ungodly lawmakers and its willing accomplices the Federal Court system. By using the same pathway as the 60′s civil rights used, and by declaring  that gay sand lesbians were a race of people they found a way to become a protected class. Now I ask you how can someone’s sexual deviation be even considered for a class status or a race of people. In the Book of Genesis chapter 19 vs 24 God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah  for the sin of homosexuality plain and simple. Homosexuality is a sin and a wicked degrading sin as well which will lead its participants into the pit of Hell for all eternity. This act is pure wickedness and immoral, not  some glorified gay right as stated  its vocal arrogant  supporters who are rebellion against God Almighty.

The gay drive for public approval of their alternative lifestyle began in the early 1970′s with efforts to portray homosexuality and its deviant sexual practices  as a valid, healthy and equally acceptable way of life. Gay activists were demanding even then that public school sex education courses taught by gays should present homosexuality as a healthy alternative. (Time, September 8,1975)  There has been an emotional manipulation of the American public. Firstly ordinary citizens have been made to feel guilty, by a constant barrage of accusations, that they are bigoted and homophobic for having seen their homosexual lifestyle as antagonistic to their basically Judeo- Christian value system. Secondly the gay militants through their acts of  violence, plainly intimidate average Americans into acceptance of their deviant homosexual lifestyle.(Kinsey, Sex, and Fraud,103) I have a word for the militant gay activists, I will not be intimidated. I will continue to stand up and speak out against the sin of homosexuality not mater what type of hate speech law is passed.

Homosexuality is a learned behavior, people are not born that way as some sympathizers say. Alfred Kinsey  the father  of sexual programming in the public school system and SEICUS espoused  that children can enjoy and benefit from sexual interaction with adults. Kinsey’s grand scheme is almost realized through establishing homosexuality as normal behavior. By promoting sexual promiscuity blurring the lines where pedophilia is concerned. Through attacking religion to undermine the Judeo-Christian concept of sin and eliminate the distinction between right and wrong. Lobbying the Judicial system  to reform sex laws so that aberrant sexual behavior is not considered criminal. To redefine Family to break the hertosexual model of nuclear family with a mother and a father.

You can be delivered from the homosexual lifestyle by repenting from sin, believing in Jesus  to be your Lord and Savior. And you will not be condemned to Hell for all Eternity. Read the Bible, join a Bible believing Church, go to  Bible study and give Jesus the praise for deliverance from a perverse and sinful lifestyle.

What I see happening in the Charismatic World is more of the same  old stuff. Some Christians just don’t seem to get it, and are still looking for the next Great Revival of  Signs and Wonders. You would think that with all the information out there about Todd Bentley’s false healing revival in Lakeland Fl  that people would come to their senses and have some discernment.  But no, the Signs and Wonder chasers are still out there in full force, looking to be deceived by the next “Anointed Preacher” or New Doctrine. It seems that itching ears have to be itched over,  and over,  and over again. As II Timothy 4 vs 3 states that:“For the time will come when they will not endure sound Doctrine”. If only Christians would be able to discern the times we live in, they would understand the time that II Timothy speaks about is the present age we live in. Not in some future time to come , but right in the here and now.

This is a right now word, how many times have I heard that only to find out that the TV preacher was trying to sell some of that right now  word for a special price of only $19.99. Benny Hinn’s miracle crusades are still drawing huge crowds with people desperately seeking  Signs and Wonders only to be crushed when their guaranteed miracle does not happen.

Morris Cerullo is still hawking his how to pray books and special prayer Bibles along with next crusade of whatever. Paul Crouch and Richard Roberts are still begging  the viewer to send in their seed faith gift and their miracle will come. How about some miracle anointing oil from Jerusalem as sold by the Elijah List.

Even Perry Stone has veered  off course and will be interviewing next week someone who went to heaven and spoke with their relatives. Now that is necromancy and spiritualism which is specifically forbidden by the Bible. He went on to say that the person had a near death experience, and came back to share what happened.  Even my daughter recognized that speaking to the dead was forbidden by God. I guess he had to fill in time and figured the way to boost ratings  was to show something that  bordered on the bizarre. Perry’s teachings  now have more of a Kabbalah influence than that of the Bible.  Does anybody see a pattern here, there is really something wrong with this picture. As Christians are we really that gullible, the answer unfortunately is an astounding yes. But we can change that by going back to sound teaching and doctrine. Start by reading some of the classic Christian sermons by preachers such as EM Bounds, Charles Spurgeon, Harry Ironside, or DL Moody maybe then  we can get back on the right path obeying God rather than man.

Is there such a thing  as  being drunk in the Spirit ?  Slain in the Spirit or Holy Laughter. In my many years of being a charismatic of  which I am a  now a recovering charismatic. It sounds similar to a  being  a recovering alcoholic  and in essence it is. The emotional experience in most charismatic services is what becomes top priority. Most charismatics mistake the feeling generated by  the music minister leading the praise and worship during the service as Holy Spirit ordained. The exhilarating  feeling that is felt is mistakenly called the move of the Holy Spirit. The preaching of the Word becomes an afterthought and takes a back seat to the music. I was in one service where a woman fell out and landed right on my left arm  which was a good thing because if my arm was not there she would have hit her head on the metal chair. She would have been in considerable pain, sometimes you just don’t know what is going on with people.

Now we get down to the heart of the matter, what is being drunk in the Spirit, Slain in the Spirit or Holy Laughter. As Kenneth Hagin said many times over drunk again. I looked in many Bibles including many Translations and never did see the Apostles ever mention that being drunk in the Spirit was a manifestation of the Spirit.  I just could not find any substantiation for this doctrine.The only people who said that the Apostles were drunk on the day of Pentecost were the mockers( Acts 2 vs 3).  So if the mockers were saying the Apostles were drunk; and Kenneth Hagin also said that he drunk and stumbled around acting like a drunk. There is only one conclusion that can be reached and that is Kenneth Hagin and the mockers in Acts 2 were of the same mind. Kenneth Hagin by saying he was drunk in the Spirit was actually mocking the Holy Spirit. Here is a short video clip of Kenneth Hagin and Ken Copeland in what is called Pentecostal Bedlam.

There are people falling, laughing and running all over the place. The scene is absolutely sad and chaotic, the Holy Spirit was never and I mean never in this mess. There was a spirit there  a false spirit, a demonic spirit, an unclean spirit masquerading as the Holy Spirit. God is not the author of confusion but the devil  and he is the father of lies. The people in this clip have given themselves over completely to the influence of Satan. They are under a delusion and are completely apostate. Peter replied to the mockers in the book of Acts 2  vs 15 “For these men are not drunk as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day” which is 9 AM.

According to an article by Biblical Discernment  Ministries that :

Hagin cited Acts chapter 2 in an attempt to prove that the Apostles were drunk in the Spirit on the day of Pentecost. This is nonsense. Those who said the disciples were “full of new wine” were the mockers who wanted to debunk the miracle of tongues which was occurring (Acts 2:13). The mockers did not say the disciples were drunken because they were staggering about and slurred in speech and falling to the ground, but because of the many languages which were used to preach the Gospel that day and because they wanted to slander the servants of Christ. In his reply to these mockers, PETER PLAINLY SAID THEY WERE NOT DRUNKEN (Acts 2:15). In Ephesians 5:18, Paul CONTRASTS drunkenness with the filling of the Spirit. The drunk is not in control of himself, but is under the power of a foreign substance. In contrast, the Spirit-filled Christian is entirely in control of himself under the direction of the Holy Spirit. There is absolutely no case in the New Testament of the Lord Jesus Christ or the Apostles or early Christians staggering about in a drunken stupor, unable to attend to necessary duties, as those in the laughing revival are experiencing. THE CHRISTIAN IS COMMANDED TO BE SOBER AT ALL TIMES (1 Thess. 5:6,8; 1 Tim. 3:2,11; Titus 1:8; 2:2,4,6; 1 Pet. 1:13; 4:7; 5:8).

If for no other reason, one should reject Hagin on this basis alone: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8).

The only example of “spiritual drunkenness” in the Bible is in the prophets, referring to God’s judgment upon sin and apostasy (Isa. 29:9-14; Jer. 51:37-40). These prophecies sound a solemn warning to the Laughing Revival crowd. They have rejected the sound teaching of the Bible; they have refused to be sober and vigilant; they have mocked careful Biblical discernment; they have exalted experience over doctrine; they have gone awhoring after feelings and “signs and wonders”; and they have been blinded by demonic delusions. God warns that those who refuse to obey the truth will be blinded by lying wonders (2 Thess. 2:9-12).

Throughout the rest of Hagin’s sermon, various people were laughing hysterically, making it difficult to follow his message. The service could best be characterized by confusion. It ended like it began, with a rock concert disguised as a worship service.

VISIT OUR

Wow, it has been an amazing past two weeks. First of all since I have started speaking the truth about about the false teaching Kenneth Hagin and Word of  Faith. My wife’s cousin eliminated me from her facebook friends list. I for one was not shocked for I  am no stranger to controversies. But I am amazed  at how brainwashed people are today by the false teaching that has been circulating through the Churches in Charismania. The Bible in Isaiah 1 vs 18 calls to come now and let us to reason together. What I see happening today in the Charismatic World is a complete shutting down of any dialogue of reasoning.

There is a complete split coming , if it is not already here between Orthodox Christianity and the signs/ wonders crowd. Between  studying the Bible  and those seeking Spiritual experiences. Between the lukewarm seeker friendly  and those that will stand for the True Gospel of Christ calling sin, sin. Between the false prophets,  who  prophesy lies in the name of the Lord and those who call for repentance and a turning back to the Lord before the Judgement of God falls on America. Between those who call for Restoration and what is truly needed Reformation.

The Bible says in II Timothy 4 vs 3 &4 “For the time will come when they(Christians) will not endure sound Doctrine; but they after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears”. The sign that we are now seeing by the proliferation of all the false teachers, false prophets is God’s Judgement on the Church for it must begin in the House of God first.( 1st Peter 4 vs 17 & 18. Look at Joel Osteen, Joyce Myers, “Positive” and “Happy Gospel” and compare it to the  true teachings of Jesus in the Gospels there is a big difference. Paul Washer has spoken clearly about this subject as well.

Do we need to hear from the false prophets like Kim Clement, Paul Cain, Rick Joyner, and the like to know what is going on in the world today. Wake up Christians !!!! Wake up people!!!!!!!!!! Read your Bible and understand the signs of the times, Jesus said as it was in the days of Noah so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man (Mathew 24 vs 37 & 38)

The time is right for reformation, to turn from these false teachers, repent and understand that the Church will not subdue all nations for Christ as Kingdom Now and Manifest Sons of God teaches. But Jesus will rapture for his Church first, then the 7 year Tribulation period, and at the end of the Great Tribulation Jesus comes back again at the battle of Armageddon. Just as the  Bible  says in the Book of Revelation!!!!!!!

1. During the past 14 years I had 11 surgeries, yes that is right 11 surgeries. Talk about being in the Lord’s Boot Camp I was there, but I feel that the 11 surgeries prepared me for what was to come in 2006 which was being diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. It is truly amazing to look back at how I was able to make it through all those surgeries. I know that the only way I made it was through was with the Lord Jesus help. The Scripture verse from the Bible  that kept me  strong is:” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians  Chapter 4 verse 13. It never started out as 11 surgeries, it started with one surgery and ended with eleven. Here is the list: 5 foot reconstruction surgeries, 3 knee replacements, 1 right shoulder joint replacement, 1 right hip replacement and 1 back surgery which was done in february of 2009.

This is the Lord’s boot camp there was no other way for me to face my health problems but straight on, my back was against the wall and there were no other options.The pain was too great, and the quality of  life was diminishing. I knew from reading my Bible in the Book of Daniel where the the 3 Jewish boys Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego were thrown into the fiery furnace by King Nebuchadnezzar because they refused to bow down and worship the image of the king. The three Jewish boys knew that their God was able to deliver them even if they had to go into the furnace and God would deliver them and He did. For there was one walking with them in the furnace who looked lke the Son of God who was Jesus  and they didn’t get burned (Daniel Chapter 3). In my case I knew the Lord Jesus would get me through this trial and everything was going to be all right , it took 14 years. But those 14 years were used for preparation time for the next physical problem to come which was stage 4 prostate cancer.

During those 14 years I became a physical therapy expert, rehabbing and reading my Bible daily brought me closer to God. I remember having a cast on my foot and thinking what it would be like to workout again. The waiting time helped me to appreciate the things that we always take for granted like walking, moving your shoulder with no pain or riding a stationary bike. The toughest part of rehab was going through it after knee replacement, in order to get full range of motion the knee must constantly  be worked, bent and put through a whole assortment of movements which were killers, but I had to endure the torture in order to walk right again. All through it the Lord Jesus was helping me to endure and giving me patience to get through this physical thing that I was going through. It’s hard for people to imagine but as soon as one body part was repaired or replaced another part needed attention.

As of today I am back in the gym working out 4 to 5 days a week with stage 4 prostate cancer. And sharing my testimony to all who would listen of  the love and mercy that Jesus has provided for everyone through His death on the Cross and His Resurrection that He would grant eternal life to all who repent and receive Him as Lord and Savior. Through all of this I know that God is Soverign that until I fulfill His plan for my life I am here until He calls me home.

What  have we  learned about  Todd Bentley and the false healing revival that happened last year in Lakeland Florida. Numerous, numerous lessons were learned one of which  that comes straight out of the Bible from the Gospel of  Mathew Chapter 24 vs 11 & 12 “And many false prophets shall rise and deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold”. These two verses capture the distinct age that we live in and say volumes of the lack of spiritual discernment in the Body of Christ and the Churches today.

A very important lesson learned of how as Christians, we must stay sharp and alert in the Word of God as a Watchman on the Wall. We must be vigilant, not let our guard down. We must stand up for the true Gospel of Christ, and speak out to warn the brethren . We must not be intimidated, we must have the boldness of the Holy Spirit to speak the truth in love and finally we need to understand the times we are living  in which are filled with false Christ’s, false prophets, false teachers teaching, deception, heresy, and  apostasy. If we understand the history of the false healers and false revivals we can know what to look for.

The immediate tip off about where Todd Bentley’s false healing  revival was heading was to look at his associations, if you want to know about someone look at the company they keep. The key to spotting any false healer  or prophet is to first check it out with scripture, if they make any reference to dreams, visions from an Angel, Divine revelations, or trips to Heaven  or Hell  a red flag of  skepticism must be raised.  Most of the people attending Bentley’s revival could not tell the difference between true and false because they were looking for an experience and were not reading the Bible  to help them understand the signs of the times.

According to Bentley his heroes and his mentors included William Branham, Kenneth Hagin, Rodney Howard Browne  and of course Bob Jones of the Kansas City false prophet fame. William Branham had an angel  a pillar of light present in his false healing crusades and so did Todd Bentley. The angel which Bentley referred to was a demon spirit or fallen angel  called Emma.

In talking about his help from a healing angel, William Branham  once  stated that he was unable to minister unless the angel was at his side( Occult Bondage and Deliverance, Kurt Koch pp. 49,50).

Branham  and Bentley’s experience with angels of light were very similar. It is extremely important  to understand the devious deception that is taking place in the Body of Christ today. The Bible tells us to test the spirits to see if they are of God, 1st John chapter 4 verse 1 states: “Beloved , believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God because many false prophets are gone out into the world”. This false healing revival is exactly what the above scripture is talking about. According to Bob Jones God told him on New Years eve in 2008 that a third wave was coming and that wave was called Winds of Change.

Latter Rain doctrine is a modern version of the classic heresy of Gnosticism, which taught that a spiritual elite possessed “hidden knowledge” of the divine realm which placed their personal revelations, spiritual experiences, and private interpretation of Scripture above the ordinary revelation of God’s Word. In Latter Rain doctrine, Pentecost was the “former rain” or outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the Church must yet receive a second Holy Spirit visitation. At this time, the Sons of God will be glorified and manifested to all as they establish the Kingdom on earth before Jesus Christ returns bodily. Latter Rain prophets are now preparing multitudes for this transformation. (Barbara Aho, The Latter Rain Revival)

Todd Bentley asked Bob Jones what was the other two waves, he said wave #1  Toronto Blessing , wave #2 Pensacola and # 3 became Todd Bentley’s false healing revival in Lakeland FL. My question is a rhetorical one; Will We Get Fooled Again? My answer simply is, we should not get fooled the next time, but some will.

The past 2 weeks  have been filled with some anxiety, quite expectation and a lot of Bible reading. Waiting for test results are never fun, but the Lord has revealed to me through His Word that we are to be anxious for nothing and to rest  and put all our cares on Him. Well the results are in from my latest PSA test and Praise the Lord my  PSA level has gone back down to 0.21 from 0.32. My oncologist was pleased and I was jumping for joy. I started to share part of my testimony of how Jesus changed my life with my Oncologist who listened and thanked me for sharing. Living with stage IV prostate cancer is a very humbling and rewarding  experience. Humbling because it keeps my view on life in the right perspective, rewarding because  through it I have a opportunity to share my faith about Jesus. As the days and months go by I will always be grateful for being able to inspire someone to keep on fighting cause Jesus is our example and he never quit.

This post is an update for this post

It has become clearly apparent and evident  after thorough examination that the men pictured here are preaching another Jesus. Kenneth Hagain, Kenneth Copeland and Creflo Dollar have over the years built empires by teaching heresy. Lets take a look at Dad Hagin, for the life of me I could never understand why people would call him dad .  It must be  a Rhema thing, even when I was attending a Word of Faith Church I never considered him as the father of faith. Jesus is always  the object of  our faith and not man. Over the years my opinion of Kenneth Hagin has changed from benign neutrality to an extremely dangerous one. Especially after watching a video clip from Pawcreek Ministries and Joseph Chambers titled Kenneth Hagin and the Spirit of the Serpent. The clip is from a 1999  Holy Ghost meeting where a Hagin starts hissing  and moving his tongue around like a serpent and people begin to slither out of their chairs like snakes all  while walking around like a man who was in a drunken stupor.

Then the laughing what was that all about, I believe that he was so apostate that the laughing revivals were actually blaspheming the Holy Spirit which is the unpardonable sin.

The point that I am trying to make is this that side show was apex of  Hagin’s blasphemy and God’s Judgement has been on Rhema ever since. Kenneth Hagin’s ministry from the beginning was founded on plagerism, false visions of Jesus, paranormal experiences, twisting the scriptures and lies. The Jesus he preached was one who going to make you healthy and  wealthly, which was bad enough, but he taught that Jesus took on the nature of Satan on the Cross and died spiritually. This is a complete heresey and a baldface lie which Hagain plagurized from EW Kenyon along with many others. Justin Peters in his seminar Call for Discernment  goes into the origin of the Word of Faith cult and it is a cult which dabbles in the occult under the teaching of Divine Revelation.

Both Kenneth Copeland  and Crefalo Dollar take Word of Faith false teaching and heresy to another level. Some call it hyper faith I call it just  same old lie that Satan told Adam and Eve in the Garden that they could be as gods.  It is Kenneth Copeland  who said the biggest failure in the Bible was God.  In one of his infamous prophecies Copeland was told supposedly by Jesus   that I did not claim I was God; I just claimed I walked with Him and that He was in Me.(Kenneth Copeland, Take time to pray,Believers Voice of Victory 15,2 ( Feb. 87). With his little gods teaching Crefalo Dollar has moved up the ladder in the Word of  Faith anals. The teaching about  being little gods is not new for Benny Hinn pushed forth this heresy years ago. Dollars spin on this teaching is amazingly sad and very blasphemous , it goes like this if horses got together they produced what? another horse. If dogs got together, they produced what? another dog. If the Godhead got together, what did they produce? and the congregation said: the Godhead produced god, therefore ye are little gods. No, no, absolutely not; God created man,  in His image and likeness not to be litte gods, but to be man His highest creation subject to the Creator. God is the object of our worship, not man.

As the Apostle Paul states so clearly in II Corinthians chapter 11 vs 3 & 4 ” But I fear lest by any means as the  serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes Preaching another Jesus whom we have not Preached or if you receive another spirit, which you have not received or another gospel which you have not accepted, you might well bear with him”. The Gospel of Christ is simple, but men twist the scripture for their benefit. Paul preached  Jesus Christ and Him Crucified anything else is another Jesus.

Many will ask  today why does doctrine and theology matter, isn’t it enough just to believe in Jesus. The answer to that question is a resounding no. Doctrine does matter and so does theology. The problem within the Charismatic and Word of Faith circles and even some churches is that any and all doctrine and theology is acceptable. I have heard many times how its unity in the Spirit which matters most. What matters is that this false unity  becomes the vehicle where most of the error is promulgated and distributed through false teachers of today such as Hagin, Copeland, Dollar etc. The Apostle Paul speaks plainly about this issue in his letter to Timothy. II Timothy 4 vs 3  & 4″ For the time will come when they will not endure sound Doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears. And they shall turn away their ears from the Truth and shall be turned unto fables”.

Take for instance Word of Faith doctrine of Divine Health and healing of the believer. Health and healing according Hagin/ Copeland depend on the faith of the believer  and is always guaranteed 100% as long as the believer has the right amount of faith. It sounds good but does it work, absolutely not. And the reason it does not work 100% of the time is because the God of all creation is Sovereign. God still does and will heal, but not because we are some great faith supermen but because He is God and can do whatever He wants.

What Hagin/ Copeland are talking about is having faith in faith and not faith in the Lord Jesus  to accept His will for our lives. The true blessing in life comes going through difficulties with God as our Pilot, not by confessing that I have Divine health and no sickness will attack me. They elevate and deify man and demote God to some kind of an errand boy doing their bidding. This doctrine is truly blasphemous and heretical and leading many  into  deception.

I remember one time my friend had gall bladder problem, who is a Word of Faith believer, who would not see a doctor or even mention it at all that he was sick because he didn’t want to speak an illness into being. This another area where the Word of Faith doctrine is so far off from true Bible Christianity. For they quote one  verse from the Book of Proverbs 18 vs 21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they who love it shall eat the fruit thereof”;. Then they take the verse out of context twisting the scripture to create a doctrine. Suffice it to say a few months later he had his gall bladder removed because he couldn’t stand the pain. So much for positive confession, thats why doctrine and theology do matter because lives are in the balance.

There  is no doubt we are living in the last  days which include perilous times where deception and apostasy rule the day.

Have you ever known someone that is more concerned with the next move of God or wave of the Spirit rather than reading , understanding, and applying the principles of God into their daily living. I do, there are numerous charismatic signs and wonders chasers being deceived in the Body  of Christ and in the Church today. I can compare it to a surfer trying to catch the ultimate wave, going from beach to beach in search of the ultimate wave but never finding it. The search for the next wave in Charismatic circles  has led believers down a path away from  Jesus instead of towards Him.

About a year ago a good friend mine and a supposed strong Christian came to our home Bible study and started telling everyone in attendance about this next move of God. He mentioned about how the Apostle/ Prophet movement will replace the Church and the Fivefold ministry will be restored and run the Church. That Miracles, Signs and Wonders will increase with major healing revivals all over the world. He was always big on personal prophecy, revivals, healing ministries, Word of Faith theology, and Angelic visitation.  Knowing that he was not grounded doctrinally, I passed it off as phase and didn’t think about it much. He also mentioned the Elijah List, Kim Clement, Bill Hamon , gold dust, teeth being filled with gold, angelic orbs and Todd Bentley.

Lets take a  look at all of the above mentioned; first of all the Elijah list and all of its false prophets including Kim Clement are so far off and New Age it is not funny. None of Kim Clement’s prophecies have ever come to pass and the people who are following him are being deceived and led into a state of apostasy. It’s not amazing to me that the false prophets of today have the audacity to speak lies in the name of the Lord because it happened before in the Old Testament in Isaiah and Jeremiah’s time. It’s amazing to me that people who should know the Bible even listen. The Elijah list promotes all of the big names in the Apostles/ Prophets movement such as Rick Joyner, Paul Cain, C. Peter Wagner,  Chuck Pierce, Bob Jones, Patrica King  and Stacey Campbell  all and I mean all are involved with this deception http://www.letusreason.org/Latrain36.htm. This Apostles/Prophets movement is so dangerous and harmful to the Body of Christ because they preach another gospel and another Jesus. It encompasses a mixture of New Age, Word of Faith, Hinduism, chanting, sorcery, divination, and throw in some Christian jargon for good measure.

Getting back to my friend, I began to explain to him that there will be no revival  in the last days but deception and  apostasy. I then pointed him to I Timothy 4 vs 1 & 2 which states ” Now the Spirit speaks expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the Faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of Devils. Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron”.  This lead to a discussion about angelic visitations and  commanding angels, all of which he learned about years ago being involved with Word of Faith  false teaching. Once again he was deceived,we can’t as believers command any of Gods Angels around to do our bidding. God sends Angels when and where He sees it necessary to accomplish His work. For they are God’s messengers and listen to God alone (Hebrews 1 vs 14).He unfortunately he didn’t want to receive the Word the Lord wanted me to share with him. The last time I talked with him, he was on the Todd Bentley false revival train on his way to chasing more signs and wonders.

Last night I attended a new Bible study at the First Baptist Church which I attend here in Naples FL. Most of the my previous studies have been in small groups. This one was different, this is huge about 350 people which broke up into small groups about 6 to a table.

The topic for study was knowing and doing the will of God. It was my first study with the new Church. The people were friendly,the fellowship great and the time of discussion at the table was thought provoking.

I found out that most of the people in my discussion group had similar experiences in life and all had wanted to control the circumstances of life. When you make Jesus Lord of your life, you make Him Lord over every aspect of your life, which includes goals,hopes, direction, career, even down to the minutest detail.

For most of my life I have learned lessons in life the hard way, now I want to learn about life through the Lord’s way. The study began with finding out the differences between Self Centered decision making and God Centered decision making. I know about making the wrong decisions in life for the results followed me around for many years.

The main point in the Bible study in short was in order to find out God’s Will for your life, you must know His Word. In other words study the Scripture as II Timothy 2 vs 15 says :”Study to show yourself approved before God, a workmen who needs not to be ashamed rightly dividing the Word of Truth”.

Living with Stage IV Prostate Cancer

The year is 2006 and it is a hot humid day in July. I was scheduled to get right shoulder surgery , the surgeon suggested that I go for blood tests first. An appointment was made with my primary care physician who said he would check my PSA level through a blood test. It was a few days after visit to the Doctor, and the news was not good about my latest PSA test  which was 80.5. A normal PSA level is between 0-4, an appointment was made immediately with a Urologist. He took another PSA test within a week and it came back at 90.5, which is a 10 point jump. A biopsy was scheduled and the results came back positive 11 at of the 12 specimens showed I had advanced stage metastatic prostate cancer. I remember when I heard the devastating news saying to my wife they must be wrong, they must be wrong, I don’t feel sick.

I remember crying out to the Lord and just plain crying why did this happen to me. I was an exercise fanatic, I ran in the NYC marathon and I am a strong Christian. In the beginning I was mad at God for allowing this disease to come into my life, but as treatment started the Lord showed me in the Bible where His Grace is sufficient for me. This one event became a life changer . First, knowing you have cancer humbles a person and I was humbled believe me. Secondly, my whole world was turned around and my view of life is now from a totally different perspective.

I would have taken the news about cancer a lot differently if I was still involved with Word of Faith. The first thing you are taught in the faith movement is to reject any sickness and create your own reality through denial. I remember one time that I kept repeating I will not receive any sickness thinking I could believe my way to health . Which is the essence of the faith movement believe and receive. Its all about my faith and me and not about God and His will for your life. Forget about going to a doctor, or you will be viewed as some kind of weakling. Looking back now I understand the flaws of the faith movement which founded on a mixture of New Age, Christian Science, and Christianity.

The treatment started immediately in July of 2006 which consisted of an injection of Lupron which lasted 3 months and Casodex pills. The drug lupron is an anti-androgen which stops the production of testosterone and arrests the spread of cancer and stops the growth of the tumors in the prostate gland. The side effects of lupron are numerous one of which is very intense hot flashes and impotency. Within the first 9 months of treatment and a lot of prayer my PSA level dropped from 90.5 to 0.4. I was so elated that the Lord looked down from Heaven and had mercy on me. It is now approaching 3 years and my PSA level is still low 0.35 and the bone scans show that no new metastases and I know that God has me here for a purpose and that is to share the Gospel of Jesus with a lost and dying world.

In 2 weeks I will have another PSA test to see if the cancer is on the move, or if I need to add Casodex back into the treatment. Dealing with prostate cancer in 3 month intervals is like riding a roller coaster. Every 3 months I get tested and receive a lupron shot, there is always that possibility that things can go wrong which makes for a time of raw emotion. Whatever the situation, I know that the Lord Jesus is my Strength, He is my Rock, He is my High Tower and that I will continue to Worship and serve the Lord Jesus all the rest of the days of my life.

The Lord Jesus spared my life from self destruction at the young age of 19, like so many of wiseguys that grew up in the Bronx. I was on a one way path to hell until the Lord reached down and rescued me. I wanted to be that cool guy with all the girls hanging out at the corner candy store. Little did I know that Jesus had a different plan for my life and I am glad He did.

Back to my walk with the Lord. Salvation came to me in 1969 at the house of a Full Gospel Businessmen named Mike in Coos Bay Oregon. Yes, that is right from the Bronx NY to  Coos Bay Oregon. The journey began with a stay in my Aunt’s house in Salt Lake City Utah, then on to San Francisco,  and then to Oregon. Mike worked for a logging company and opened his house to troubled teens of whom I was one. My good friend Tommy from the Bronx was there as well other people from the Northeast, about 10 in number.

This one event changed my life forever and led me on a pathway of reading the Bible, learning about God and walking with Him every day. The Lord Jesus has been merciful to me all of my life and I give Him the Praise and Glory. My stay in Oregon was a short one,maybe a few months in which I learned about  about prayer and the Savior’s love for me through the four Gospels.

Upon my return home to the Bronx being a new Christian was really a challenging adventure. I was on fire for the Lord with zeal for lost and unsaved spreading the Word of God to all my friends and family, telling all who listen about Jesus. At that time there were not a lot of Bible believing Churches in the area and fellowship with believers was non existent. I hungered to gain knowledge of the Bible and fellowship with good Christian people. With that purpose in mind I set out to find a Bible believing  Church.

Then a friend told me of a Church group, the Way International and Victor Paul Weirwille who was the leader of the organization. Little did I know of  what I was about to get into. What a way to start out, I became involved in a cult, all the while thinking that it was a Christian Church, wow was I deceived.

I went to some meetings because of the hunger to gain knowledge in the Word of God. At each meeting more and more pressure was placed by the twig leader on those who attended to take the class. The indoctrination of the cult became very apparent and didn’t sit well with me.
Talk about shepherding, you could not make a move without approval of your twig leader. Then there was the insistence of taking their mind control course disguised as a Bible study class; in which those in attendance would become the next twig leader to get more converts to join the cult.

So that’s how it worked more converts to the cult equaled more money for headquarters to keep this false cult rolling. Through all of this the Lord protected my mind and gave me the strength to leave this cult and truly follow Him. Praise the Lord forever!!!!!!!!!

So what is happening in the Charismatic World? The year is 1984 my daughter was born and at that time I felt the Lord tugging at my heart. It was time to get serious in studying the Bible and re-commit my life back to Jesus. A 10 year period had elapsed since backsliding and running from the Lord Jesus had begun, but He knew where I was and how to get my attention. Which He did very easily, a broken foot in a cast, some time off from work, and a Bible was all the Lord Jesus needed to get my undivided attention.

As the broken foot healed my wife would always put a Bible by the chair that I would sit in, one day I opened it up and started to read. The Lord’s mercy is so gracious. His love  and forgiveness jumped out from the pages of the Bible and I knew the Holy Spirit was calling me back.

I found out many of my wife’s family were born-again Christians and so my entrance into the Charismatic World began. First there were my two terrific brother-in-laws in the Lord Gary and Rich who loved the Lord Jesus and started a home Bible study that developed into a large prayer group, and eventually into a public access TV show called Decisions. They were both very instrumental in pointing the way back to walking with the Lord .

Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship was thriving at that time in Connecticut and I was invited to a dinner. For the first time I was able to see men sharing their testimony about how Jesus changed their life and prospered their business. There were many outstanding Christians that I met through Full Gospel and love very dearly, people that love Jesus and have a servants heart. I will never forget all the people that helped during my family’s time of financial struggles. When a poor business decision on my part almost wiped us out financially.

The problem within Full Gospel became evident all too soon, that sound Biblical doctrine was not the cornerstone of the ministry, but spiritual experience was. When given the chance to share a popcorn testimony at a dinner. I was told not to sound too preachy at the podium because we wouldn’t want to give the first time attendees the wrong impression.

Wrong impression wait a minute, what the heck is going on here, the object of the dinner was to win the lost to Christ. How do you tell someone who is lost in sin that Jesus saved your life from destruction and hell without sounding too preachy. Give me a break please!!!!!!!!. After that episode let it be said that my assignment as speaker on the FGBFMI circuit was hastily curtailed. That was alright because I would rather obey God rather than man.

Once again questions began to surface in my mind about where did Jesus fit into all of this. The dinners were set up to win the lost to Christ but what it turned into was a platform for the next hot shot speaker to sell his tapes, books, or outlandish testimony of out of body experiences, of someone going either to hell or heaven.

Full Gospel in Connecticut had some of the wildest false prophets that came through town, on the other hand there were numerous authentic brothers in Christ who gave up their time to speak at the dinners and share their testimony of how Jesus changed their life.

I remember one dinner where I was sitting next to Paul Cain and not very impressed at all with this so called prophet. Little did I know that in the near future he would wreck havoc on the Body of Christ through the Kansas City Vineyards movement.

There were many more false prophets such as Cash Money, and John L who had the anointing of John the Baptist and Elijah. Another speaker on the circuit was Tommy Hawk who after finished his testimony of how Jesus saved his life went to the back of the dinner hall and began selling his latest product a protein drink.

Then at a table set up for all his tapes books and whatever else he could peddle, the question that kept coming to my mind was, where was Jesus in all this self promotion? Talk about making merchandise of God’s people this guy was a pro, it was like a feeding frenzy at a shark tank.

The FGBFMI organization had many flaw’s, one of which was when once a person got saved at a dinner. The new convert was not encouraged to attend a specific Bible believing local Church or join a Bible study . In other words if you were a Catholic and received Christ as your Savior, it was alright to go back into the Catholic Church to attend services. Now how could that be good for the spiritual growth for the new convert ? It was not conducive for spiritual growth at all.

The reason for this is that the FGBFMI was more concerned with the big tent idea of unity, where all denominations would fit in, thus leaving most doctrinal differences outside the door and never discussed. I didn’t realize it at the time but, the foundation was being laid for the Ecumenical and Charismatic Catholic movement to go through Full Gospel Businessmen’s Organization with the false vision of unity as its vehicle.

After much soul searching, researching, and prayer I have left the Charismatic movement, after being part of it for 24 years. I am now a member of First Baptist Church, in Naples Florida and love it. My search for answers on what was happening in the Charismatic world started last year as the Lakeland Revival began and Todd Bentley came on the scene.

I couldn’t believe how many Christians were being deceived by this false prophet and his false miracles. The more I read about Todd Bentley and the people surrounding him like C. Peter Wagner, Paul Cain, Rick Joyner, Bob Jones and the rest of the Vineyards fellowship. The more I understood this was another false revival like Brownsville and the Toronto Blessing.

So I started with Todd Bentley and worked backwards it became project of connect the dots in reverse.  My research  lead to an article by Let us Reason Ministries about Todd Bentley called ” Meet the new thing same as the old thing”. In it I found out about a conversation Bentley  had with Bob Jones who said he had the same visitation  of an angel that the latter rain false  healer William Branham of the 1940′s. Another piece of the puzzle came together when I came across a website so4j.com. In which a video clip by Justin Peters was presented about the Word of Faith  ”A Call for Discernment”. This video clip spurred me on to continue with my research because I was just beginning to scratch the surface of the problem of what is happening in the Charismatic World.

The connection deepened as Rodney Howard Brown, laughing revival, Kenneth Hagins Word of Faith, Kenneth Copeland, Joels Army, Later rain, Manifest Sons of God, Apostles/ Prophets movement, the Charismatic and Emergent Church started to intersect and  had much in common. The light bulb  finally went off in my mind and the Holy Spirit confirmed what I was thinking all along. That what these groups had in common was not Biblicial Christianity, but Apostasy which the Apostle Paul writes about in II Timothy 3 vs 1-7.

About a year and half ago a good friend and brother in the Lord was telling me about the next move of God and there were going to be great signs and wonders  coming from this new anointing. He told me about the Elijah list and about the how God is going to use the Apostle’s and Prophets in these last days. For many years most of the teaching in Charismatic circles has been that there will be an end time revival before the Lord Jesus returns. So I looked in my Bible and read what it said which was the opposite there would be a great falling away not revival.

The year was 1987 and my introduction into the Charismatic Church world began. A Non Denominational Church called Bright Clouds Ministries was the place. This Church just so happened to be pastored by a new minister who just graduated from Rhema. My brother-in-law led the Praise and Worship music, and my indoctrination into the Word of Faith began. The strange thing about this Church was that the services were held in a old movie theater which used to show porno movies. The Pastor used to proclaim this fact as proof of victory that the church was reclaiming the territory back for God.

This was before adultery and divorce swept through the church eventually causing the Pastor to step down after being caught in an adulterous web.

In the beginning the Word of Faith teachings were exciting, learning how to tap into the so-called secrets of faith, prosperity, and healing. I bought every book and booklet that the word of faith bookstore was selling by the most popular faith teachers such as  Kenneth Hagin, EW Kenyon, Kenneth Copeland and TL Osborn. I felt with this knowledge I was on my way to a new life and experience with God .I bought into this false teaching hook, line, and sinker. Yes I was on my way to being deceived and didn’t know that trouble was right around the corner.
